Type consulting: Which dress fits which figure

Type “female curves”

Women with a female figure and slim waist shouldn’t cover up their silhouette by too tight and voluminous dresses.

 

V-cuttings and v-necklines make you slim. Long, narrow, straight cut skirts or dresses extend optically.

Type “sporty figure”

If shoulders and pelvis are about similar width, the upper body slim with a small waist, lush lace and embroidery are not recommended.

 

Tight fitting tops are good and a A-line skirt which fit narrowly at the waist and flare downwards.

Type ”A-form”

If the figure is narrower at the top than at the bottom, the lower part of the body should not be over-emphasized or optically broadened by folds.

 

Better are flowing gowns in the Empire style or gathers or draping at the top part.

Type “V-form”

If the figure is wider at the top than at the bottom, it is not recommended to wear tight-fitting tops. Deep V-neckline make the upper body narrower.

 

To emphasize the lower part of the body asymmetrical skirts and dresses with slit are suitable.
