"My name is Merja Hartikainen, I am 48 years old and owner of the HYPOXI studio Kuopio in Finland.

I am a dental assistant by profession and have worked in the healthcare sector for over 20 years. In addition, I completed training as a personal trainer in 2017. My HYPOXI studio is located in eastern Finland – Kuopio has approximately 117.000 inhabitants.
I have two grown sons and live with my spouse and our small dog. I enjoy playing various sports and traveling. My motto: a good mood helps in everyday life.
Before becoming a studio owner and HYPOXI coach, I worked in the social services sector. I am familiar with people-centered work. In February 2022, I started working at this studio, leaving my permanent position in the healthcare industry to become a self-employed entrepreneur. My entrepreneurial journey was inspired by the freedom to make my own decisions and to innovatively develop my thoughts and ideas.
I bought the business from a former entrepreneur. The premises are rented. I completed my HYPOXI coach training in Turku and partly in Kuopio several years ago.
I enjoy working with HYPOXI because I can help people make better choices when it comes to food.
I hope to further expand the HYPOXI business in the coming years and dream of collaborating with medical centers, for example. I've already received suggestions from a private medical practice. I'd like to develop this idea further in the future.
My goal is to convince as many people as possible of the benefits of the HYPOXI method, not only in weight management but also in health matters.
